Liazel blogja

A tusfürdők után most a krémek következnek.

Liazel’s blog

„He who seeks shall find!”- so the saying… I’ve also found a blog which I liked because of its versatility. You’ll find here our favourite handmade soaps, but in the same time Ildi (Liazel) makes me remember that skincare is not just about cosmetics we use in the every day life. The skin becomes beautiful primarily from inside: the most important is the nutrition, regular excercise but it would be also very important to live in a healthy, clean environment!

Let’s read how she wrote about her soap making experience in a letter:

“2 years ago I’ve met a handmade soaper at a raw food class, she has brought some of her creations to show us. She told she has just completed a soap maker course and from that time she didn’t use anything else in her bathroom. She told it was very easy to make soaps at home. I was really excited, when I went home I looked into how to do it mostly from internet sources and I ordered all the ingredients. The passion was born and today this is love!

I was making soaps a year ago when I last went to a cold process soap class. I didn’t get new information about the method, but as it was in the summer I could see and learn about the typical problems at cold process soap making. There were soaps becoming to hot while the saponification process and maybe it seems strange, but some of them got cold despite the hot weather. After the class I became much braver, but it was also a „very bad period” in my life- I was thinking on soap making all the time: just thoughts about new ingredients, new ornaments… The only problem was the quantity produced as I make soaps just for my family and we can't use so much soap...!:) I had to switch to a lower speed and not to realize all my ideas, so there is still. There is a must to choose what kind of soaps to make.

Recently I make 3 types. One for the average bath, another for my problematic skin (this is an every day fighting and experimenting which is the best solution) and the third one for shampoo. Fortunately you can create many novelties under these 3 categories, too, so you can experiment, but there’s still a lot of ideas to carry out!

At the beginning I was not wondering soap making becomes such a passion to me, I love to make, I love to use and I love just to admire my soapy works though they are not really complicated in their design. (Decoration will be a next project.) I used to make hot process soaps,  too, but not so often ’cause it’s hard to colour and prettify them. I use this method frequently in the summer, more often than cold process, because there’s no need to fair of temperature problems while the saponification.

My new plans for this year: I will accomplish a course of making natural cosmetics in August. I was dreaming about that longtime ago, now this is the time! Step by step all the poisons will disappear from my life. After the shower gels now time for creams and lotions, I wish I won’t use any kind of industrial product full of chemicals and poisons in the future. Maybe I’m not far away from the truth if I say: Homemade cosmetics? Next love!:)”
